North American Pairs

North American Pairs (NAP)

What is NAP?

A highly prestigious grass roots event, the North American Pairs starts at the club level in June, July and August. Players who qualify at club level are eligible to play in the district final. District winners may go on to the finals at the 2018 Spring NABC in Philadelphia PA. NAP qualifying games at club level award extra points 50/50 red/black. (Red points usually can be earned only at regional tournaments.)

District 25's NAP Finals will be in two locations this year: the Flight A finals will be Sat-Sun Oct 7-8 concurrent with the Watertown MA Sectional, and the Flight B and C finals will be in Nov 11-12 as part of the Mansfield MA Regional. Players qualifying in both Flight A and Flights B or C at the club level may play in both district finals. Gold points are awarded for section firsts and overalls. The top 3 winners in each flight - A (Open), B (fewer than 2,500 masterpoints), C (0-500 masterpoints Non-Life Masters) - win cash to offset travel expenses and will represent New England at the spring NABC.
